Natural Building in the GLESS
Start off your Convergence experience with an immersion in natural building focused on cob (clay, sand and straw) construction with our own nationally renowned natural builder, Uncle Mud, and accomplished practitioner Chris Keegan. This 2 day Natural Building in the GLESS Intensive Program will be an unforgettable hands-on experience featuring several examples of natural building found at the site, Kelly’s Working Well Farm. Over the two days participants will build a cob oven as well as learn to make and apply clay and lime plasters and do repair work on existing structures. Working with cob is an incredible tactile experience which has plenty of scope for artistic expression as well as creative problem-solving. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about this Earth friendly building technique that is bound to become more widespread in our bioregion in the future. Meals provided/camping available.
